Online poker can easily get boring when you have to wait a while for the action to come around. That’s why you see a lot of people playing more than one table at a time. Sometimes they play so many you question if it is even possible. I’m a 6 max player and when I really want to focus on the game I play 4-6 tables, when I’m playing softer games I go for 12+. I also play full ring sit-n-go’s, generally 20-30 tables at a time.
There are three ways to play many online poker tables at once. Tiling can be used on any site that supports multi-tabling. Cascading and Stacked will require the site’s software to pop the next table where action is required in front.
1. Tile tables across the screen
The advantage to tiling the tables is that you can see multiple tables at once. This enables you to prioritize which tables you want to act on first. You will need a large monitor, or multiple large monitors.
While tiling is great for a smaller number of tables, it can be quite the work out as that number increases. Your hand will get tired and start to hurt from all of the moving around.
2. Cascade tables on one monitor
The cascading method isn’t used as much since the stacked method became popular. While the tables are cascaded, you can fit many tables in a smaller area, but you can’t see them all at once.
3. Stacked (Place the tables on top of each other)
When you stack tables you simple put them on top of each other. This way is the fastest and hardest to play. When you complete an action, a new table will pop up directly in front of it. So you could raise a hand on a table, then have to call a hand on another table, etc.
Equipment needed
It is recommended you have a 26+ inch monitor. Even if you decide to tile 4 tables, having a nice big monitor feels so much better to play on. You will also want to get a gaming mouse. For the tiling and cascade methods you’re going to want something that can glide with ease. For all methods you’re going to want a mouse that responds nicely when clicked, after all you’re going to be doing a lot of clicking.
